Antonio Serapio-Palacios, PhD

I am a Microbiologist, the Head of the Laboratory, and an Assistant Professor at the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, University of California, Davis. In 2025, I established my laboratory, which now focuses on enteric pathogens and commensal Enterobacteriaceae.

I completed my Postdoctoral training at the Michael Smith Laboratories and Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of British Columbia, Canada. I earned a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Cell Biology with a specialization in Microbiology from CINVESTAV-IPN, Mexico. I am a CAMPOS Faculty Scholar.
