Antonio Serapio-Palacios is a Microbiologist, the Head of the Laboratory, and an Assistant Professor at the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, University of California Davis. In 2025, he established his laboratory, which now focuses on enteric pathogens and commensal Enterobacteriaceae.

Dr. Serapio-Palacios completed his postdoctoral training at the Michael Smith Laboratories and Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of British Columbia, Canada. He earned a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Cell Biology with a specialization in Microbiology from CINVESTAV-IPN, Mexico. He is a CAMPOS Faculty Scholar.
